Databases... Why Would They Help US?

A database essentially is a collection of data files that stores information into smaller and smaller groups until one particular file can be found.  This makes it much faster to find what your looking for on a computer rather than manually searching all of your files.  With this in mind why would it help our space dumping company?

This would be a great asset to our company for many reasons.  To locate certain files that maintain to certain parts of the world that we are operating in.  Employee records could be found much easier to and issues with employees can be noticed much quicker.  

Data bases can also help out tremendously with tracking our shipments and flight routes to what parts of space we are shipping the trash to.  With databases being a very quick way to find files on company computers it saves much time and effort with the process of manually searching.  

Space Dumping Communications Why is it Important?
Within our high powered company many different types of jobs will have to be done to give the world a proper and efficient service.  What makes humans the most dominant species on Earth?  Communication!  Yes, communication is the greatest advantage humans have over the rest of the species on Earth.
This is how we have developed into the society that we have today.  To have a successful business you must also have great communication.  With our company being a global company dealing with the trash around the world our communication lines must be the best they can be.  

What Will be Effective for the Company?
With bandwidth being the certain amount of information you can send through a certain type of communication method such as, 2G cell phones, walkie talkies, radios, 3g phones, etc.  Our company must have the most bandwidth with the highest type of communication possible.  The types of communication connections that will be suitable for this type of company would be internet connection, face-to face online chat to be able to deliver types of information in a personable manner, cell phones, landlines, etc.  With great communication the company will be able to run a lot faster and more efficient.

Review For IST 195 Project 1 Space Dumping

This project for IST 195 has been an interesting one to complete and has been somewhat difficult.  My business idea of Space Dumping would be a very hard one to pull off but for the purposes for this project it was a workable topic.  The business would have to use all of the different types of informational technology that we have learned about throughout the semester.

Evolving Idea

The idea of Space Dumping evolved throughout the semester by including the new types of information technology we have learned.  From the start of learning simply about the functions of the internet to more complicated topics such as Software, Databases, Hard Drives, etc.  These different types of informational technology makes the process of running a company much easier and saves a lot of money by not having to hire specific workers to cover the specific fields that these applications can do.

How I Felt About the Project

The project was a good one that makes you think but it was also kind of tough to deal with.  Its tough to explain how a database or software can help your company when its already assumed that most major companies use these applications and that its expected to have these programs.  I don't know enough about space dumping to tell you exactly what type of software or what I would have to load into an Excel spreadsheet to effectively run the company.  So from that standpoint it was tough but overall a very interesting project

Richard Branson is the founder of the virgin group such as virgin atlantic, virgin america, virgin mobile,  and virgin active.  He is an active blogger on ideas of how to become more skilled in the use of certain types of Informational technology.  One blog he posted how he invested in a company called codeacadamy.

Codeacadamy is an online company that teaches normal people how to understand and use coding to their advantage within the Informational technology based society that we live in today.  The motto of the company is learning by doing and by coding in the way that codeacadamy teaches it you learn coding by doing coding.

With the massive amounts of customers and services of being a high profile company that has a huge responsibility of dumping the Earth's trash into far areas of space. The company will have to have several high profile hard drives to be able to handle the tremendous amounts of information that will have to be stored to operate this company.  From routes, collecting, ledgers, and etc all of these types of data must be stored and kept protected.

However certain files from the past and information is more than likely going to be deleted due to the tremendous amounts of information being stored by our hard drives.  Products such as Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery software to recover lost information that may be useful in the future if certain problems or situations arise.  Having a software such as this will be extremely worth it and could save money and grief if we are ever asked to show old files for whatever reason.

The process of information recovery for the company is a big one and as long as we are able to recover old files if they information has not already been overwritten on the hard disk of the hard drive we can have insurance we can pull up old files that we may need.  This can save money in lawsuits and as well as showing proof that we have not done anything illegal by showing old files that would prove our company has conducted ethical business.

With the computer industry having amazing levels of capability that has evolved over the years you are able now to use computers to help with your business in tremendous ways.  For the purposes of my company we will use audio commands from our computer mainframe to help instruct our employees on which ship the trash goes and how to sort the trash coming from different parts of the world.

By inserting data into our mainframe the computer will process the data and give us the information that we seek to see what is the most efficient way to collect, process, load, and ship our trash and with these results we will broadcast the commands to our employees from our computer mainframe.  This will give our employees the correct commands in the most efficient way.

By using our mainframe to give the commands to the labor employees we will save money from not having to hire managers and other positions to give out some of the commands that just the computers can do for us.  This is an extremely efficient way to conduct our business and by using the computers full capability we will be able to save money.

To create a successful business with the idea so space dumping, tremendous computer power must be used to ensure that all of the data is processed to give us successful information. The information we will be dealing with will include planned routes within space, launching capabilities, picking trash up from garbage companies that still collect the trash from local household that we then take from these companies to ship into space.  To be able to deal with all of this information we will need vast storage space within our operating computers to deal with all of this information.  Within this computing power the computers will be using the binary method of operating so the computers will be told what to do and to process all of the data that we present the computers with.

The computers we will need to deal with the appropriate business deamand that will stem throughout the world will need to be able to handle a tremendous amount of information.  The company has decided on using petabyte's to be the primary use of storage for our information, which is the largest type of storage memory. 

The amount of data that our business will have to process will be vast and will need plenty of petabyte's to be able to successfully operate this company.  With the appropriate amount of Petabyte's we will have the computer power we need to be able to keep this company growing.
